Businesses today rely on web-based marketing and advertising. This opens opportunities for web designers and programmers. A web page shows the unique “personality” of a company. It attracts investors and customers, increase visibility and profitability, at a lower cost.
Web designers need to know the objective of the company for developing a website, and the target audience. Knowing the company’s competitors is an advantage, to see to it that the webpage does not duplicate a rival’s design and content. The page should be attractive and engaging, with user-friendly features. Web designers should have sufficient knowledge and experience with programming and use of softwares such as Dreamweaver, and graphic design packages such as Photoshop.
