A computer technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots and upgrades computer hardware and software, and other computer equipment in a particular company. Some companies hire technicians as regular employees, while others outsource services of computer technicians from another agency.
Computer technicians must be able to work in an office setting, capable to use standard office equipment and are able to maintain attentiveness to details in spite of interruptions. Technicians should be fit to lift and carry equipment and other object weighing up to 40 pounds, and have good vision and hearing. Computer technicians should also be trustworthy, since some companies have equipment that are in high priority with regards to security.
